Among the cases of primary amenorrhea, who were selected to undertake chr¢¥.omosome analyses by the peripheral leukocyte culture technique, sixteen cases produced sufficient number and favourable quality of metaphases for the analyses.
Five cases were -found to have abnormal karyotypes with negative sex chromatin patterns. Two had typical Turner¢¥s feature with karyotype of 45; X in 94.4 percent, and 74.0 percent, respectively, of the cells observed, while -other three cases had mosaic patterns of karyotype which consisted of .45, X/46, XX, and 45, X/46, XY.
With the clinical findings of five cases with abnormal karyotypes, cases with Turner¢¥s syndrome and its variants presented in the previous cytogenetic studies were reviewed.
